In-Flux (2016)
This sculpture uses a rotating motor to wind and unwind a roll of paper establishing a cycle that inscribes difference into repetition. Throughout the rotating process changes in form occur causing the object to be in constant flux. A video recording of a recursive activity is projected onto the physical sculpture, producing a mise en abyme. This mechanism depicts a continuous movement sans début ni fin, echoing with the fragility of living and nonliving systems.
